Getting off to a strong start
ICG understands the importance of providing sporting bodies with a distinct and compelling identity that can be applied across the organisation easily and consistently. By understanding the core values and unique attributes of the organisation, we create brands that not only capture the essence of the sport, but work hard to convey complex messaging.
Our identity for Scottish Racing Academy involved ICG understanding multiple audiences – appealing to those within the horse racing community and beyond. We worked with the charity to help communicate its vision and values to support engagement with schools, colleges and communities as well as key stakeholders and organisations.
We have worked with ICG since the inception of our organisation on all elements of the brand and website.

Communication is key
Working in close partnership with our clients, we help create strategic communication plans and identify how best to communicate with internal and external audiences.
By understanding our audiences and how they digest information, we can advise on the most effective communication channels and tailor content to the most relevant format.
For League Football Education, we convey a wealth of information from handbooks and welcome packs to learning resources as well as providing information to clubs, coaches and parents. Digital documents with increased use of video appeals to football apprentices and supports engagement.

Campaigns and projects
A key role of any sporting body is to champion issues and challenges within their industry, acting as a proactive advocate for positive change and development. At ICG we help address topics such as athlete welfare and inclusivity, as well as navigating challenging issues such as doping, betting, motivation and mental health.
As part of a project funded by The Racing Foundation, ICG was commissioned to create a striking brand identity to underpin a new initiative called Racing Home to support people working within the horse racing industry. An user-friendly website was developed to provide information about the rights and entitlements of parents-to-be and working parents, around matters such as pregnancy, maternity and paternity pay, flexible working and statutory pay.
Conferences and Events
With the value of face-to-face events being recognised more than ever before, we help bring brands to life at conferences and exhibitions. At ICG, we work with sporting organisations to deliver materials ranging from full exhibition stands through to animated videos, key note presentations and merchandise.
We were commissioned to provide creative support for the Racing Foundation Conference – an annual event to bring people together from across the sector. We expanded the brand to give the event its own sub-identity, which was applied to event materials including a digital booklet, delegate listing, signage, delegate badges, lectern and stage graphics as well as assets for social media and emails.
