At the end of January, ICG headed off to the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, for our annual conference.
An early flight gave us plenty of time to start exploring straight away, taking in the city’s famous trams, vibrant food halls and, of course, more than a few Pastel de Nata custard tarts along the way.
Although the weather didn’t quite deliver the sunshine Lisbon is known for, the trip was a brilliant opportunity to spend quality time together. The weekend was all about togetherness, wellbeing and setting the tone for the year ahead, with space to connect, reflect and plan as a team.

Some of the group, including Jonny, Simon M and Liam, made the climb up to the Castelo de São Jorge to soak up the views across the city, while Julie, Emma and Emily opted for a slower pace with a relaxing spa morning on Sunday.
We also found time to visit the city’s new design museum, where we were delighted (and slightly proud) to spot ICG brand work featured in a global logo anthology published by Taschen books.
Back at the hotel, we were well looked after with great food, drinks and plenty of dancing — rounded off with a surprise early-morning fire drill to keep us on our toes. For those who didn’t sleep through it, anyway!
Lisbon proved to be a wonderfully compact and welcoming city, and an ideal setting for bringing everyone together. And, as always, it wasn’t long before the conversation turned to one thing… where to next?
