‘Tis the season of giving once again and this year we’ve taken our ‘Give Back Fridays’ concept and turned it on its head.
In the autumn we were approached by a local charity that was facing one of the toughest periods in its 15-year history and we knew we had to help.
Known as the ‘foodbank of foodbanks’, the Blackpool based Big Food Project delivers 17,000 meals across the Fylde Coast every week and a drop in donations saw them struggling to keep the doors open.
We brought all our teams together to launch the Festive Feed campaign asking members of the community to donate money as well as a 26 for ’26 business partnership appeal that has four levels of corporate sponsorship.
Campaign development, strategic messaging, creative design, social media content, digital assets and targeted public relations were brought together to enable the charity to communicate its message clearly and quickly.

Over the last few weeks the charity has featured in both local and national press, making the front page of the Blackpool Gazette, appearing in the Daily Mirror and securing broadcast interviews with BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC North West Tonight and Granada Reports.
Social media traction ensured the message was seen by tens of thousands and the donations started rolling in from the public and local businesses.
With a target of £100,000, much more support is needed as the charity heads into winter and we have continued to help with all our departments playing a part in getting the word out.
We’re proud to stand alongside the team and to use our skills to support their appeal. This is a moment for local people and businesses to come together to help secure the future of food support across our area.

We will keep you posted on the results in the coming weeks!
